 The Frankenstein Analogy relates to the original Frankenstein movie, where the creature that Dr. Frankenstein created was not inherently bad, but was made dysfunctional by the way he was handled by Dr. Frankenstein, Dr. Frankenstein’s assistant, and society. 
 
 As Dr. Frankenstein diligently and feverishly implemented his plan to create life; he went out into the world and cobbled together parts of people. Some parts from laboratories, some from people whose corpuses were robbed from their graves, some of whom were newly dead. Dr. Frankenstein fulfilled his ambition when he suddenly struck life into this being that was concocted as an aberration of different people from different places. 
 
 The Frankenstein analogy is that the United States government and society (Dr. Frankenstein) created the African American (the creature) in an environment where because of the African American’s former slave status, physical differences, communication pattern, and culture, were mishandled and made dysfunctional, then relegated to a marginal existence in the Great American society, where they have wallowed every since. 
 
 The African American has no past before America since their country of origin, language, religion, and names were stripped from them. In addition, the African American became a blend of many different people from various parts of the world, including African nations, European nations, and American Indians. Then, added to this are the debilitating effects of a long history of slavery, oppression, lynching, and discrimination. So, like the creature in the Frankenstein story, the African American was created as the result of a mix of people cobbled together from many parts, not really knowing who they are or from whence they came, and subsequently abused, rejected, and outcast in society.
